A-line outfit

I've had this fabric for over a year and I knew it'd be great... for SOMETHING! I was finally inspired to do something with it when I decided the ribbon needed to play a bigger role than just an second-thought embellishment. It needed to be PART of the outfit. I couldn't be happier with the results!

Tracy, you have to start including the pattern numbers -- is this the one with the button at the top? I LOVE this outfit -- I bet you could tell it was fabulous when it went together!

Ha! This is just an A-line dress pattern that I shortened up. It's Simplicity 4927. The capris are a shortened version of Stitch N Save's M5351. I was really happy with the outcome. I made a bow out of the ribbon for her hair. She (P's friend) wore it to the ballet yesterday. People were stopping her asking where she got it. I need to make business cards!!
