Here's that dress for my daughter's friend. The smocking turned out pretty good. I really like the lace trim. It makes it look old-fashioned, and in my opinion, smocking only works one of two ways... either old-fashioned or totally retro. There's really no in between!

I love your smocking! Because of seeing your stuff, I'm now inclined to learn to do it too. Can I ask where you get your pleated dresses at? I'm looking into getting some ready to smock stuff to start with. And any pointers you can give? THanks!
Hey, Jess. I actually purchased a pleater a few months ago, so all of the pleated garments, I've done myself. If you're really serious, I can sell you a ready-to-smock garment for $20 or so, depending on style and size.
I would love that! I have to wait till payday though, but I am definitely interested. Thank you so much for the offer!
